Legal case management software — Microsoft 365 integration

Legal software that works inside your Microsoft 365.

OrdoLux integrates with Outlook, SharePoint and Teams — so your documents stay in your own Microsoft tenant, your emails create time entries automatically, and your team communicates through tools they already use. No third-party document server. No data migration. No lock-in.

£50 + VAT per fee earner. Rolling monthly. All Microsoft 365 integrations included.

Why data residency matters for law firms

  • Client files contain privileged and confidential information
  • UK GDPR requires you to know where personal data is processed
  • Most legal software stores documents on the vendor's servers
  • If the vendor is breached — your clients' data is exposed
  • OrdoLux stores documents in your SharePoint, not ours
  • Your data stays inside your Microsoft 365 tenancy

Three Microsoft 365 integrations — one platform

Microsoft Outlook

OrdoLux connects to Outlook and automatically creates time entries when you send emails. Correspondence time is captured at the moment it happens — not reconstructed at the end of the day. Works with Office 365 and Microsoft 365 Business plans.

SharePoint

Every matter in OrdoLux has a linked SharePoint folder inside your own tenant. Documents are stored, organised and versioned in SharePoint — not in OrdoLux's infrastructure. You can access files directly in SharePoint if needed, without going through OrdoLux.

Microsoft Teams

Link Teams channels or chats to matters so that internal team communication is captured alongside the file. Useful for firms using Teams as their primary collaboration tool across matter teams.

How Outlook time capture works

Most solicitors lose 15–25% of chargeable time because correspondence is never recorded. OrdoLux's Outlook integration fixes this by creating a time entry automatically every time you send an email linked to a matter.

Send an email → time entry created

Link the email to a matter in OrdoLux. When you send it, a draft time entry is created — pre-populated with the matter, a description from the email subject, and the time. Review and approve in seconds.

No more end-of-day reconstruction

Instead of trying to remember everything you did before leaving the office, time entries are created as you work. The time log builds itself throughout the day.

SharePoint document storage — your data, your tenant

When you store documents in most legal software, they are uploaded to the vendor's servers. That means your clients' confidential files sit in a third-party environment that you cannot fully audit or control.

OrdoLux works differently. Every matter has a linked folder in your own SharePoint. Documents uploaded in OrdoLux — or sent via WhatsApp, email or direct upload — are stored in your Microsoft 365 tenancy. You remain the data controller. You choose your backup policy. You can access files directly without going through OrdoLux.

UK data residency

Microsoft 365 UK data centres satisfy UK GDPR data residency requirements. Your client files stay in the UK — no transfers to US or EU servers by your case management software.

Your backup policy applies

Because documents are in your SharePoint, your existing backup and retention policies apply automatically. No need to configure a separate policy with your legal software vendor.

Access without OrdoLux

Fee earners can access matter documents directly in SharePoint if needed — without logging into OrdoLux. The two-way sync means everything stays current.

Frequently asked questions

Does OrdoLux integrate with Microsoft 365?

Yes. OrdoLux integrates with Microsoft Outlook (email capture and automatic time recording), SharePoint (document storage in your own tenant) and Microsoft Teams (matter-linked communication). All integrations connect to your existing Microsoft 365 tenancy.

Where are documents stored — OrdoLux servers or SharePoint?

Documents are stored in your own SharePoint — inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. OrdoLux does not copy documents to a third-party server. Your data remains in your Microsoft environment.

Is this suitable for law firms with existing Microsoft 365 tenants?

Yes — that is exactly the scenario OrdoLux is built for. You connect your existing Microsoft 365 tenancy during setup. There is no migration and no change to your existing document structure beyond OrdoLux adding its matter folder organisation inside SharePoint.

Does OrdoLux work with Microsoft 365 Business Basic / Standard / Premium?

Yes. OrdoLux works with all Microsoft 365 Business plans that include Outlook and SharePoint — which covers Business Basic, Standard and Premium.

Is OrdoLux legal software GDPR compliant?

OrdoLux is designed with UK GDPR in mind. Because documents are stored in your own SharePoint tenant, you retain full control over where data is held and processed. Microsoft's UK data centres satisfy UK GDPR data residency requirements.
